A historic milestone was achieved as the first two students of Thailand\u2019s unique M.D.\u2013M.Eng. Double Degree Program<\/strong> successfully defended their master\u2019s theses at BART LAB<\/strong>, Mahidol University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two candidates, Mr. Pan-Pasit Komonsuwan<\/strong> and Mr. Big-Porames Vatanaprasan<\/strong>, are medical students from Ramathibodi Hospital<\/strong> pursuing a joint degree with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University<\/strong>. Both presented groundbreaking research topics at the intersection of medicine and robotics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Pan-Pasit Komonsuwan<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cAn Intra-Operative Trajectory Realignment Algorithm for Minimizing Pedicle Screw Misplacement in Cervical Spinal Fusion.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Big-Porames Vatanaprasan<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cDesign Optimization of a Soft Robotic Manipulator for Intraventricular Neuroendoscopic Surgery.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Both projects exemplify the mission of the MD\u2013MEng program: integrating medical expertise and engineering innovation<\/strong> to create next-generation leaders in medical technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
