Medical Robotics and AI Association Featured at LAB International 2025

3 September 2025 – Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok

On the third consecutive day of academic engagement, the Thailand Medical Robotics and AI Association (TMRAI) was invited by VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific to join LAB International 2025, one of Thailand’s largest annual exhibitions dedicated to Health & Innovation Asia.

The Association was honored with a dedicated booth space and an exclusive Panel Discussion on the advancement of medical robotics and healthcare innovation.

Panelists:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rattapon Thuangtong, MD – Vice President of TMRAI; Deputy Dean, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and Member of the Medical Council of Thailand
  2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirawat Sawangsri, MD – Executive Committee Member of TMRAI; Assistant Director, Siriraj Hospital; Deputy Head, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital
  3. Dr. Sakol Bee Nakdhamabhorn – Executive Committee Member of TMRAI; Lecturer, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Chulabhorn Royal Academy
  4. Mr. Charudej Khunadilok – Guest Panelist; Chairman, Medical Device Industry Club, Federation of Thai Industries (MeDIC–FTI)

The session was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, President of TMRAI and Founding Director of the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB), Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Ms. Choladawan Moonjaita, Secretary of TMRAI and Lecturer at Mahidol Biomedical Engineering, also coordinated the session.

The discussion highlighted Thailand’s rapidly growing ecosystem in medical robotics, AI, and smart healthcare technologies, emphasizing collaboration between academia, hospitals, and the private sector to accelerate innovation and localization of medical device manufacturing.
