Intelligent Mobile Robot & Manipulator

Intelligent Mobile Robots and Robotic Manipulators form the forefront of BART LAB’s groundbreaking research initiatives. Supported by esteemed organizations such as the ThaiCom Foundation, the Thailand Research Fund (TRF), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Mahidol University, and the Pattaya Floating Market Company, our projects strive to revolutionize various applications in these fields.

Intelligent Mobile Robots

BART LAB focuses on developing advanced robotic systems for diverse purposes. The ThaiCom Foundation supports our projects, including autonomous and teleoperated rescue robots designed to aid in disaster response scenarios. These intelligent robots navigate challenging environments, provide situational awareness, and assist in search and rescue missions. The BARTLAB AssistBot, supported by the TRF, is a service robot designed for home or hospital applications. This assistive robot enhances individuals’ quality of life by offering support in mobility, object retrieval, and basic caregiving tasks.

BART LAB also ventures into unexplored territories with its projects in underwater exploration. Supported by the NSTDA, the ThaiXPole project involves the creation of an underwater robot designed explicitly for Antarctic exploration. Equipped with advanced capabilities, these robots navigate harsh and extreme environments, collect scientific data, and contribute to our understanding of this remote region.

In the domain of Intelligent Mobile Robots, BART LAB strives to develop unmanned full-size automobiles. Supported by the Pattaya Floating Market Company, our project aims to create intelligent vehicles capable of autonomous operation. These vehicles find applications in transportation, logistics, and advanced surveillance systems.

Robotic Manipulators

Robotic Manipulators, BART LAB, engages in research projects Mahidol University supports. Notably, our focus lies in developing a Binary Hyper-Redundant Robotic Manipulator. This innovative robotic arm design offers increased degrees of freedom, enhancing flexibility, dexterity, and adaptability for complex tasks.

With collaboration from esteemed organizations and institutions, BART LAB’s research in Intelligent Mobile Robots and Robotic Manipulators drives advancements in disaster response, assistive robotics, underwater exploration, transportation, and manipulation tasks. By pushing technological boundaries, we pave the way for a future where intelligent machines and robotics play pivotal roles in transforming various industries.
