BART LAB Students Win First Runner-Up Presentation Award at TAIST–Science Tokyo Conference 2025

2 September 2025 – Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok

Following the success of the TAIST–Science Tokyo Conference 2025, organized by NSTDA, two students under BART LAB’s mentorship proudly received the First Runner-Up Award for Best Presentation in the “Biomedical and AI” track.

Both students achieved the same top score, earning joint recognition for their outstanding research presentations:

  1. Mr. Krittanat Tanthuvanit
    Undergraduate Student, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mahidol University
    Project: “Extending the Development of the BART LAB Spine Surgical Robot: Surgical Protocol, Design, Control, Navigation, and Software”
  2. Ms. Chavisa Suppuang
    Medical Student, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University
    Project: “An Assistive System for Pre-operative Wire Localization for Breast Microcalcifications under Mammogram Guidance”

Their projects reflect the strong integration between engineering innovation and clinical application, showcasing the collaborative spirit fostered by Mahidol BME, Ramathibodi Hospital, and BART LAB.
