Observation of Retinal and Vitreous Eye Surgery Inspires New Research Topic

Bangkok, Thailand – June 16, 2025
The BART LAB team observed a nearly four-hour eye surgery performed by Dr. Thitiporn, a specialist in retinal and vitreous procedures. The operation required exceptional precision within a very small workspace, showcasing the surgeon’s high level of skill and expertise.

The visit was joined by a new Master’s student in the MD–M.Eng. program from Ramathibodi Hospital, leading to the identification of a promising new research topic for future collaboration in ophthalmic surgical innovation.
