Launch of SandBox Master’s Program in Advanced Biomedical Technology

Bangkok, Thailand – July 25, 2025

Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), officially launched the new one-year SandBox Master’s Program, “Advanced Biomedical Technology and Venture Creation in Healthcare.”

The program offers five specialized majors:

1. Medical Device
2. Medical Robotics
3. AI-Based Medical Diagnosis
4. Drug Discovery and Development
5. Biologics and Vaccines

The launch ceremony was attended by the President of Mahidol University, the Secretary-General of the Thai FDA, the Vice President of FTI, and deans from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Graduate Studies (Program Leader), Faculty of ICT, and Faculty of Science. Key representatives from the FDA’s Medical Device and Strategy Divisions, as well as industry leaders including the President of the FTI Medical Device Group, Orthopeasia executives, and other medical device companies, were also present.
