BART LAB Members visit and present Research at the Konkuk University, Seoul, Korea

On March 25, 2013, Nine-BART LAB Members visited Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn (BART LAB Director), Miss Bantita Treepong and Miss Narucha Tanaiutchawoot (B.Eng. Student in Biomedical Engineering who has been working on research project at BART LAB) gave presentations at the Department of Mechanical Design and Production Engineering, Konkuk University. Dr. Suthakorn presented the overview of BART LAB Medical Robotics Research, and Miss Treepong and Miss Tanaiutchawoot presented their senior research project, a part of an active research at BART LAB, on the topic of “The Design of A Passive Robotic Breast Biopsy Needed Holder and Its 3D Graphical Human-Machine Interaction Based on 3D Slicer.”

Addition to the trip, BART LAB Members were having a pleasured time on Downhill Skiing at the number one, Korean’s Ski Resort, “YongPyong Resort,” located at 3-hour away from Seoul. YongPyong Resort is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Korean, and will host 2018 Winter Olympics.
