BART LAB Showcases Invention at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

April 9, 2025 — Geneva, Switzerland
BART LAB from Mahidol University participated in the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, one of the world’s most prestigious showcases for innovative technologies. The team presented their invention titled:
“Diabetic Neuropathy Robotic Screening Device”
– a novel device aimed at enhancing the early diagnosis and monitoring of diabetic peripheral neuropathy through robotics-assisted screening.

Although the team originally anticipated a more relaxed exhibition experience, the event turned out to be highly dynamic and engaging, with full-day presentations, live demonstrations, and in-depth discussions with international visitors. The booth attracted considerable attention from investors and industry professionals, many of whom expressed interest in potential commercialization and collaborative development.

In a highlight of the event, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) of Thailand visited every Thai booth, including BART LAB, underscoring strong government support for Thai innovation on the global stage. The Thai delegation was notably large, showcasing a wide range of products including health supplements and food innovations.

The event also offered a reunion of sorts for many Thai professionals and academics, some reconnecting after more than a decade. A particularly meaningful encounter was with Professor Hiroshi Kosuge, a world-renowned roboticist formerly from Tohoku University, now with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, who visited the BART LAB booth.

BART LAB extends its gratitude to:

  • The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) for coordinating and supporting the Thai delegation, including registration fees;
  • Mahidol University and iNT (Institute for Technology and Innovation Management) for nomination and logistics support;
  • Dr. Nantida Nillahoot (Nui Nan), Innovation Director of BART LAB, for selecting and submitting the project for international exhibition.
