VIP Attendance at RoboCup Asia-Pacific Qingdao Invitational 2024 Opening Ceremony

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Founding Trustee of RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) and Director of the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB), Mahidol University, was invited as a VIP guest to attend the opening ceremony of the RCAP Qingdao Invitational Tournament 2024, held in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao, China.
The event was organized as a major highlight within the city’s flagship RoboCup Asia-Pacific Conference and Expo, drawing senior government officials, industrial leaders, and international delegates.
Dr. Jackrit was the only Thai representative in attendance, seated in the front VIP rows among Ministers, Standing Party members, city mayors, and national leaders invited from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The ceremony featured real-time translation via wireless audio headsets and showcased the grand scale and sophistication typical of China’s major international technology events.
This marks the second city in China visited during the RCAP 2024 program, following the Chongqing Humanoid Invitational Tournament, reflecting BART LAB’s growing presence and leadership in international robotics collaboration.
