Congratulations to Dr. Rattapon Thuangtong on His Successful Ph.D. Defense in Biomedical Engineering
April 4, 2025 – BART LAB proudly congratulates Assoc. Prof. Rattapon Thuangtong, MD, on the successful defense of his Ph.D. dissertation in Biomedical Engineering at Mahidol University.
Dr. Rattapon, a leading figure in hair transplantation in Thailand, has completed a groundbreaking Ph.D. research project titled:
“Design and Proof-of-Concept of a Single Robotic Hair Transplant Mechanism for Both Harvesting and Implanting Hair Grafts.”
This pioneering work introduces the world’s first unified robotic mechanism capable of performing both harvesting and implantation of hair grafts—an innovation with significant implications for aesthetic and reconstructive robotic surgery.
