BART LAB Robotics Team Battles to Quarter Finals at RoboCup 2025!
August 16, 2025 – Beijing, China
The BART LAB Robotics Team proudly advanced to the Quarter Final Round of the RoboCup 2025 Humanoid League, facing three strong teams — Sweaty (Germany), GeoHBot (China), and i-KID (China) — in a thrilling series of matches that tested strategy, precision, and resilience.
In the first match against Sweaty, BART LAB optimized their robot’s computer vision for high accuracy and close-range ball control. Despite stronger precision, the team’s conservative kick power led to a 5–1 defeat against the steady and long-range German team.
The second match against GeoHBot saw improved balance between speed and accuracy. BART LAB led 1–0 in the first half, but a mid-game connectivity issue disrupted one robot’s link to the referee control system. After several technical fixes, the backup robot was deployed but suffered similar instability, ending in another 5–1 loss.
However, in the final match against i-KID, BART LAB made a stunning comeback. With refined synchronization and flawless performance, the team dominated 7–1 — a clear showcase of their engineering progress and teamwork.
Although the earlier malfunction cost a spot in the semifinals, the experience strengthened the team’s technical capabilities and international camaraderie. The performance marks a major milestone for BART LAB and Mahidol University, reaffirming their status as one of Asia’s most innovative university robotics teams.
