NRCT Honors BART LAB’s Groundbreaking Assistive Technologies at Thailand Inventor’s Day 2024
Feb 6, 2024: The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) has made a significant impact at the Thailand Inventor’s Day 2024, hosted at the Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exposition Center (BITEC) from February 2 – February 6.
The NRCT awarded the prestigious “Gold Prize” to two groundbreaking inventions from BART LAB: the “BART LAB Intelligence Robotic Stair Climbing Wheelchair” and the “BART LAB AI-Elderly Supporting Robot designed for Sit-to-Stand and Walk applications.” These inventions have been recognized for their crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for the elderly, marking a significant milestone in advancing healthcare technology.
In addition, the “BART LAB Intelligence Robotic Stair Climbing Wheelchair” was distinguished with the “Special Prize” from the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), highlighting its exceptional innovation and global impact in assistive robotics.
Congratulations are in order for BART LAB and its dedicated team members: Jackrit Suthakorn, Peerapat Owatchaiyapong, Korn Borvorntanajanya, Bibhu Sharma, Nantida Nillahoot, Choladawan Moonjaila, Preedipat Sattaysoonthorn, Branesh Madhavan Pillai, and Amorchai Khawkhorn.
